PRODUCT DETAILS
Luminous, sacred, and alive with ancient storytelling — this warm beige / blush-taupe silk saree is a wearable masterwork of the celebrated Kalamkari hand-painting tradition of Andhra Pradesh. The entire body is covered in a breathtaking all-over print of dense multicolour Kalamkari narrative panels — large circular medallion compositions enclosing divine figures, celestial apsaras, peacocks with fanned tails, mythological scenes, and intricate scrollwork fills, all rendered in the characteristic fine-line pen style of Srikalahasti Kalamkari in terracotta red, teal, forest green, navy blue, and dusty pink on warm beige. The large circular medallion format gives this saree a particularly grand, painterly quality — each medallion a complete narrative scene in itself.
The border is a bold, architectural double-band: a wide slate grey / steel blue satin stripe paired with a graphic red & green chevron / triangle inner band — a striking, contemporary frame that anchors the rich narrative body with unexpected, modern contrast. The chevron band echoes the geometric vocabulary of tribal and folk art traditions, creating a beautiful dialogue between the figurative Kalamkari print and the geometric border. The pallu continues the Kalamkari narrative in full glory: a denser, more saturated composition of large medallion panels and divine procession scenes that cascades magnificently when draped.
Comes with an extraordinary Kalamkari-print peplum blouse — the same multicolour folk art print on a warm blush / salmon ground, featuring a wide round neckline, short sleeves with a silver zari / metallic cuff band, a peplum silhouette with a structured flared hem, and a slate grey inner / lining visible at the neckline with a delicate tie-front detail. The blouse is a statement piece in its own right — the peplum cut and silver cuff elevating the folk art print into something truly editorial.
